  • Abita Louisiana Imperial Oyster Stout

    Abita Louisiana Imperial Oyster Stout

Our Imperial Oyster Stout is made with pale, caramel, roasted, and chocolate malts. The flavors of toffee and chocolate are prevalent but not overpowering. Since the beer gets so much flavor from the malts there is not a lot of hop flavor. Freshly shucked LA oysters were added to the boil. The salt from the oysters gives the beer a more intense aroma and mouthfeel.

Growing up in Pilette, LA, near Lafayette, Louis and Andre Michot were immersed in Cajun music as their father and uncles were in a touring Cajun band. Andre and Louis picked up the torch as the next generation of their musical heritage. With Paul Etheridge's drumming and Cavan Carruth's rhythm guitar, the band now plays its "deep swamp beat" around Acadiana and all over the United States.

Gal Holiday & The Honky Tonk Revue

With a voice that conjures Patsy Cline, a Johnny Cash attitude and a reverence for Merle Haggard and Bob Wills, singer Vanessa Niemann pulls from the best of country, rockabilly and western swing classics. With the addition of a smattering of songs bordering on the obscure and a few originals thrown in for good measure, she and her band have managed to create a show that is pure American roots.
